South Africa’s Bafana Bafana Lands In Uyo, Ahead of World Cup Qualifier

The South African national team, Bafana Bafana, has arrived in Uyo, Nigeria and checked in at the Four Points By Sheraton Hotel in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles.

The team, led by coach Hugo Broos, arrived at the hotel on Thursday Morning, shortly after landing at the Victor Attah International Airport in Uyo. They were received by officials of the Akwa Ibom State government and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The Bafana Bafana players and officials were seen checking in at the hotel, looking focused and determined ahead of the match. The team has been preparing intensively for the encounter, which is expected to be a tough battle against the Super Eagles.

The match between the Super Eagles and Bafana Bafana is scheduled to take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, June 7. The winner of the match will gain a significant advantage in Group C of the World Cup qualifiers.
