November 19th was celebrated as International Men’s day but rather than celebrating themselves, some men decided to point out that the day wasn’t getting as much buzz as the women’s day would have.

Just like anything worth celebrating, you have to give people reasons to ‘join’ you.

A lot of men had no idea November 19th was supposed to be their day and most who did, couldn’t care less.

There is every reason to celebrate the male figures in our lives-they do too much without asking for much in return and a good number of female did celebrate their men.

But, since some people believe the day doesn’t get as much buzz as it deserves, should the focus not have been on making the day a memorable one rather than comparing it against the women’s day?

I believe,’showing off’ how the women in your lives celebrated you would have been a suitable option than finding reasons to back up your claims that ‘women are treated better by society than men’.

Someone went as far as ‘metaphorically’ comparing dates saying women’s day is celebrated during spring signifying new life(March 8th) while the men’s day is fixed for November(back, end of the year and cold).

Don’t people whose birthdays fall in November get attention too?

Society has come a long way from when men where discouraged from showing emotions, now men have the freedom to express themselves.

Hence, they should seize any available opportunity to celebrate themselves without waiting on the opposite gender.
