“Our goal is to ensure that the media environment in Anambra remains stable, united, and focused on its core responsibilities to society. I commend the willingness of both sides to engage in peaceful dialogue and encourage further cooperation,” the Commissioner stated.

The deliberations, which are still ongoing, have already yielded positive responses from stakeholders, with both the NUJ State Council and the Correspondents Chapel agreeing to maintain peace and allow journalists to carry out their duties without internal distractions.

Also speaking, the Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to supporting peaceful engagement and fostering mutual respect among media professionals.

He noted that the police will continue to play a neutral and facilitative role in ensuring that issues affecting key institutions in the state are resolved amicably.
