The Nigerian Police Force has arrested Linus Williams, a crypto currency trader popularly called Blord over alleged terrosim link.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer titled “ALLEGED FRAUD, VIOLATION OF CBN ACT, POLICE INTERROGATES CEO BLORD GROUP OF COMPANIES, LINUS WILLIAMS”, it noted that his arrest followed a series of complaint lodged against Blord Group, Blord Real Estate Limited, Blord Jetpaye Limited and Billpoint Technology.

According to Adejobi, Blord is linked to allegedly aiding cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks.

“The FCID (NPF-NCCC) is currently investigating complaints lodged against BLORD GROUP, BLORD REAL ESTATE LTD, BLORD JETPAYE LIMITED, and BILLPOINT TECHNOLOGY. These offences include allegations on cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks.

“We will do due diligence in our investigations. Our cyber space in Nigeria must be safe and secured by all means. We are committed to achieving that.”- It reads.

Born on 14 March 1998 in Umuji Ebenebe, Awka North local government, Anambra state, Blord is a cryptocurrency trader.

On August 31, 2020, he was arrested by the Economic And Financial Crimes EFCC in his home in Awka, Anambra State, where he was paraded alongside 14 others accused of alleged internet fraud.
