The Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, attended the event and joined the governor in officially inaugurating the projects.

The governor said the two initiatives formed part of his administration’s drive to strengthen the state’s economy and create opportunities for residents in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“This is part of our vision to build a robust sub-national economy, ensure food security, and open Cross River to greater opportunities,” Otu said. “The ultramodern state library will serve our youths in this digital age, while the expansion of the Cali Air fleet will boost connectivity, tourism, and commerce.”

He added that his government would take delivery of more aircraft in the coming months to complement ongoing road and transport infrastructure projects, aimed at reducing travel costs for residents and businesses.
