Our rapidly evolving world, the path to leadership and career success is often paved with surmounting challenges, particularly for the women who are trying to break a new ground in traditionally male-dominated fields.

This letter is a tribute to all women who have confronted these barriers with resilience and determination as well as to men to show support constructively, drawing inspiration from myself Miss Cynthia Chineye Maduekwe (CyanahPEN).

As a pioneer who got opportuned by the to serve and lead through several positions, as the first female National President of the Nigerian Society Of Campus Writers, embodies the courage and perseverance required to excel in fields that have long been dominated by men.

My achievements in engineering, media, journalism, and press are not just personal milestones but a testament to the strength and resolve of women everywhere who challenge the status quo.

As a female engineering student and a leader in media, I have faced numerous obstacles. The very nature of these chosen fields—ENGINEERING & MEDIA—has demanded not only excellence but also the ability to overcome biases and navigate complex dynamics. Yet, I thrived, showcasing an unwavering commitment to my values and an indomitable spirit.

My role as the Faculty of Engineering UNICAL Director of Information currently Immediate Past(Emeritus/Former) also providing door stamps to all Departments, Marking all World International Celebrations, as well as Empowering Students with the right skills through Collaboration with Offiong Ikpeme also a skill barbering kit.

Other achievements include my hosting the first-ever National Writers Conference, known as Writerference held 9th May 2024 at RIMAD HALL CALABAR alongside bringing onboard the WRITERS HUB, with excellent speakers are significant accomplishments.

These offline events, along with various online initiatives, highlight my dedication to advancing both the field and community.

My journey underscores a crucial message first: the importance of support and encouragement for women striving to break barriers. It is vital to recognize the unique challenges they face and to offer constructive feedback rather than destructive criticism.

Women like CyanahPEN and the great personalities are forging new paths, and their success is a reflection of their hard work, perseverance, and the support they receive.

Let us continue to champion these trailblazing women, embracing their contributions and supporting their endeavors. Their progress enriches our society and paves the way for future generations.

When you encounter a woman striving for excellence, offer her your encouragement and constructive support—because every step she takes forward is a victory for us all.

With respect and admiration.

Maduekwe Cynthia Chinenye is the
Nigerian Society of Campus Writers National President, and the Chief Press Secretary to the students Union Government University of Calabar.
