On Tuesday, in the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC), Labour Party (LP) and their Presidential candidate, Peter Obi opened their petition challenging the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The presiding justice of the panel, Justice Haruna Simon Tsammani, admitted five exhibits, tendered through Jubril Okutekpa, SAN who led Lawrance Uchechukwu Nwakaeti, the first witness of the Labour Party in evidence.
The exhibits included a copy of the United State’s court judgment on the alleged conviction of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to a fine of $450,000, marked as exhibits PA (1 to 5). Additionally, the court admitted the deposition of the witness, which he adopted as his oral evidence and other election papers before the panel. However, Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) announced their objections against the admission of the judgment but reserved the objections to the final address stage.
