A young man from Nigeria, known as Maazi Ogbonnaya Okoro II, has succeeded in translating the physicist textbook in Igbo, and has launched the first ever Igbo Physics Textbook for public purchases. He took to his official Facebook page to announce that “The first ever Physics textbook rendered in Nigerian language (Igbo) is OUT!!!!”

He narrated the reason behind this adventure and shared that he feared Igbo language will go extinct. In his words “Over the years, I have read so many threats facing the Igbo and how it will go extinct. This motivated me to embark on this project that seemed unattainable, for science subjects to be taught in Igbo. I started from Physics. I said I would do it, and I DID IT.”
