The third edition of Bakassi International Fish Festival began with a symbolic friendly football match between Nigeria and Cameroon, setting the tone for a celebration of unity, culture, and collaboration. The match, held at Ikang Football Field, Ikang Town, Bakassi LGA, brought together young talents from neighboring and border communities, an event that speaks of the shared heritage and camaraderie of the region.

From the opening whistle, the game was filled with energy and excitement, as both teams displayed skill, passion, and sportsmanship. Nigeria struck first with a powerful goal midway through the first half, igniting cheers from the home crowd. Cameroon responded with an equalizer just before halftime, setting the stage for a nail-biting second half.
