Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has confidently predicted a glorious and prosperous second year for his administration. This optimistic outlook was shared during his address on the final day of a government-backed Prayer Summit. The summit, organized by the State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Fathers in Faith for Good Governance, took place at the International Christian Worship Center in Uyo under the theme “From Glory to Glory.”

Governor Eno expressed his deep gratitude to the organizers, the Akwa Ibom Christian community, youths, and all participants for their dedication and prayers, which he believes have positively impacted the state’s governance. He extended special thanks to prominent clerics, including Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Reverend Joshua Talena of Shepherd House, and Apostle Emmanuel Kure of Throneroom Ministry, for their spiritual leadership and ministry.

Reflecting on his administration’s first year, Governor Eno attributed any achievements solely to divine intervention, stating, “Our presence here these three days means that we agree in totality to commit our ways to God and we are emboldened. We are here for the growth of Akwa Ibom, all of us in our different areas, we trust and believe in God that after these three days, God’s hand will be evident on Akwa Ibom State.”

The Governor emphasized that the three-day event marks the beginning of his administration’s second year, signifying a renewed dedication to divine guidance and prosperity for the state. He assured the people that with continued reliance on God, the state would flourish, saying, “Our state will prosper and we will live aright. We will live with the fear of God and we will live in righteousness.”

Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, the guest minister, elaborated on the summit’s theme “From Glory to Glory,” describing glory as the essence of God’s life that beautifies everything. He highlighted God’s active role in shaping history and assured that the state’s commitment to divine guidance would lead to continued growth and prosperity.

The service also featured messages from other notable ministers such as Bishop Emmah Isong of the Christian Central Chapel International, with musical performances by Pastor Nathaniel Bassey and Aity Dennis, adding a soul-lifting dimension to the spiritually enriching event.

Governor Eno’s pledge to lead with faith and righteousness has set a hopeful tone for Akwa Ibom’s future, underpinned by the collective prayers and spiritual support of its people.
