In a grand ceremony at Mapo Hall, Ibadan, Oba Ladoja received the staff of office from Governor Seyi Makinde.
The new monarch, a seasoned politician who previously served as Oyo State governor (2003-2006, 2006-2007) and Senator (1992-1993), thanked the governor, President Bola Tinubu, and other dignitaries, while renewing his call for Ibadan State creation.

Governor Makinde praised Oba Ladoja’s patience, discipline, and humility, predicting a reign that would unify Ibadan and strengthen its history. President Tinubu urged the monarch to champion peace and development, assuring federal support.
