Hon. Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN, FCIArb (UK), has presented a critical insight into how Nigeria is gearing up for the expected surge in Aviation, Tourism, and Economic Development over the next two decades.
This was one of the highlights from Day 2 of the Internation Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Global Implementation Support Symposium holding in Dominican Republic at the Ministerial Roundtable Panel Discussion titled “Building Capacity to Achieve an Effective and Sustainable Air Transportation System for our Future.”
During his address at the ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium, the Aviation Minister also highlighted the progress of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda within Nigeria’s aviation industry. He discussed both challenges and successes in striving toward the Long-Term Global Aspirational Goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions in international aviation.
A deep dive into strategies for capacity enhancement, human resource development, infrastructure advancement, and initiatives advancing Nigeria’s commitment to Environmental Sustainability Governance Goals (ESGG) is anticipated.
