Operatives of the Department of the State Services have occupied the office of the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) in Abuja.

In a Post  on its official X handle (Formerly Called Twitter) SERAP disclosed  that the DSS had demanded an access to its Director General.

“Officers from Nigeria’s State Security Service (SSS) are currently unlawfully occupying Serap’s office in Abuja and asking to see our directors.

“President Tinubu must immediately direct the SSS to end the harassment, intimidation and attack on the rights of Nigerians”.

This is coming shortly after the DSS had arrested the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Joe Ajaero.

Streetnews  learned that Ajaero was arrested on Monday morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on his way to the United Kingdom for an official assignment.

The NLC president was billed to attend the Trade Union Congress conference in London, which begins today.
