The Cross River State Government, has ordered the immediate review, and suspension of Governing councils for nursing schools in Obudu and Calabar.
This was contained in a public service announcement issued on Thursday by Nsa Gill, Chief press secretary to the Governor.
Although details of the suspension was not disclosed, StreetNews gathered from multiple sources, that the suspension is connected to an alleged corrupt practice and extortion, experienced in the schools.
“The Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Otu, has approved a review and immediate suspension of the recent appointments to the Governing councils for the school of nursing in Obudu and Calabar.
” The status quo before the suspended appointment will remain until further notice”.- It reads.
