Cross River State Governor Suspends Civil Service Commission Chairman, Appoints Acting Chairman

The Executive Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, has directed the suspension of the Chairman of Cross River State Civil Service Commission Mr. Uko Inaku,  with immediate effect. The suspension followed the appointment of  Maurice Effiwat as the acting Chairman of the commission. This was contained in a press release signed by Secretary to the State Government, Prof. A. Owan Enoh on March 11, 2024.

The Governor, in the same press release, directed the appointment of  Linus Obogo, who served as Deputy Chief Press Secretary to former governor Ben Ayade, as Special Adviser Media & Publicity Emmanuel Ogbeche, who had just been relieved of his appointment as Chief Press Secretary, was appointed Special Adviser Media to the Governor (Abuja).

Other appointments announced in the statement were those of Prince Edwin Okon as Chairman, Internal Revenue Service, as well as that of Mr Abang Sylvester Otu as State Chief of Protocol.
