The Executive Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, has directed the appointment of 21 Members into Urban Development Authorities. This was contained in a press release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Emmanuel Ogbeche, on March 6, 2024.
The Urban Development Authorities include Ikom Urban Development Authorities, Ugep Urban Development Authorities, Obudu Urban Development Authorities, and Ogoja Urban Development Authorities. Each of these Urban Development Authorities has 5 members each except for Ogoja Urban Development Authorities which has 6 members. All the 5 Urban Development Authorities have their Executive Secretary, Directors for Open Space, Waste Management, Maintenance, and Research and Planning. Ogoja Urban Development Authorities stood out with an extra official role for the Director of Environmental Health.
The Governor congratulated the new appointees, while charging them to deploy their wealth of experience to bear into sustainable urban renewal of their various lolcalities.
