The Cross River State Government on Saturday said there will be no restriction of movement during the June edition of the monthly statewide environmental sanitation exercise, scheduled to hold on Saturday, June 28, 2025, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
This development was disclosed in a public notice signed by the Commissioner for Environment, Moses Osogi, who emphasized that the decision was taken in consideration of the 2025 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) UTME Mop-up Examination holding nationwide on the same day.
According to the notice, the exemption from movement restrictions is intended to enable unhindered movement of candidates and examination materials across various centers in the state.
“This exception is to facilitate the free movement of candidates and examination materials for the JAMB 2025 UTME Mop-up Examination taking place across the country, including Cross River State,” the statement read.
Despite the lifting of the usual movement restrictions, the government urged all residents to actively participate in the sanitation exercise within their localities, stressing the importance of a cleaner and greener Cross River.
Osogi reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to improving environmental standards, and called for public cooperation and civic responsibility, even in the absence of enforced movement controls.
