The Cross River State Consultative Forum (CRSCF) has commended Governor Bassey Edet Otu for what it described as “remarkable strides” in infrastructure and development following the commissioning of new state-owned aircraft, the remodeled and digitalized State Library Complex, and the inauguration of the expanded National MSME Clinics in Calabar.
The projects were commissioned last week by Vice President Kashim Shettima, who represented President Bola Tinubu at the events.
In a congratulatory message jointly signed by its Chair, Eyo Nsa Ekpo Esq, and Secretary, Dr. Julius Okpotu, the Forum said the governor’s achievements in just two years had repositioned Cross River as a state under rapid transformation.
The Forum highlighted Otu’s administration’s efforts in road infrastructure across the 18 local government areas, the ongoing Obudu Cargo Airport, the proposed Bakassi Deep Sea Port, the revitalisation of Calabar Port, Tinapa Resort and Obudu Cattle Ranch, as well as urban and rural electrification projects.
“The Cross River State Consultative Forum stands in celebratory solidarity with Your Excellency as we say bravo to a Governor driven by a deep conscience, love and determination to serve in the public interest,” the statement read.
The Forum expressed optimism that the state would witness more flag-offs, inaugurations and completions of major projects during the governor’s remaining years in office.
