The University Of Cross River State, has announced the commencement of its student Union week from Wednesday, June 5th, 2024 to Friday June 7th, 2024.
This was contained in a press statement made available to street news on late Wednesday titled “Circular No 425 Student Union Week”.
According to the statement, academic activities are stopped in order to allow students, and staff of the university to participate actively in the program for the week.
It also enjoined students to conduct themselves properly as well as cooperating fully with its leaders, to ensure that objectives of the program are accomplished without any hitch.
” This is to inform all students, staff and the general public that the student Union week has commenced today, Wednesday, June 05, 2024 and will continue through Friday June 07, 2024 in all the campuses of the university. Consequently, management has approved that there will be no lectures during this period.
” All students are enjoined to participate fully in the solemn Assembly on Friday June 07, 2024 before they continue with their activities later in the day.
” Students are advised to conduct themselves peacefully while participating in the activities slated for the week. Students should cooperate with their leaders to ensure that the objectives of the programme are accomplished without any hitch.”- It reads.
The initiative of the Students’ Week was introduced by the management of the university, to provide a platform for students to explore, discover and develop communal bonds in social gatherings. Various activities such as cultural day, costume day, old school day, jersey day, are among the highlight for the week.
