The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered disciplinary proceedings to ensure justice is served swiftly and decisively. “The Nigeria Police Force maintains a zero-tolerance stance toward misconduct or corruption within its ranks. Violations of public trust tarnish not only the Force’s reputation but also undermine collective efforts to maintain law and order in the country” he said.

“The NPF recognizes that transparency and accountability are paramount in maintaining public trust. The arrested officers and their accomplices are currently in custody, facing consequences for their actions. The commitment to upholding integrity remains unwavering.”
