The Brotherhood of the Cross and Star has urged Christians and Non- Christians to operate under one flock and one shepherd.

The call was made at the Third Inter-Religious World Conference, titled “Global Unity: The Prospects of One Flock Under One Shepherd” organized by the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

Declaring the 2025 World Conference open, the Archbishop Emmanuel Esezobor called on Christians, Muslims and the traditionalists on earth to operate under one flock.

He said, “I was frightened when I saw the title of this conference. My reaction was clear: the end of the world is very near.

“In accordance with the prescription in the Gospel according to St. John 10:16 “And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice and there shall be one fold and one shepherd”

“I must say truly, this World Conference is divine process for global religious unification

“Let us my brothers and sisters reason together. There are no different religious denominations in heaven. I therefore imagine that all Christians and Non- Christians while on earth, operate under one flock”

Speakers including Archbishop in the International World Church Council of the Wesley Synod, His Grace, Prof. Iyke Nathan Uzoma, HOD Religious and Cultural Studies, University of Calabar, Prof Stella Osim, Dr Ezechoba Obiagbasosogu, dept of Religious & Human Relation, Nnemdi Azikiwe University, Anambra State, Chief Iman, Asaba, Delta State Alhaji Umar Aliyu among others harped on unification of religious.

The speakers applauded Brotherhood of the Cross and Star for extending hands of followship to others, urging other organizations to emulate especially teaching of love as exhibited by our Lord Jesus Christ.

They lamented that our country Nigeria has zero love for tolerance, calling for tolerance inspite of our difference, saying that Gospel of love is what Nigeria need especially at this time.
