Speaking at the inaugural meeting of the Board in Calabar, the Chairman, Hon. On her part, the Vision bearer and Coordinator of the Bakassi International Fish Festival, Frank Edima lauded the composure of the BoT Members. She reeled out the gains and pains of the Festival so far recorded with an emphasis on her optimism that “Bakassi International Fish Festival is not her pet project but a Community-based project that will transcend generations”.

The Bakassi International Fish Festival is an annual sociocultural event that is primed to promote the unique culture of the Bakassi people. The 2023 edition witnessed participants from two foreign countries, Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. However, with the formation of a BoT and early startups, we should be anticipating a mouthwatering edition this year.
