In an event to express corporate social responsibility, Pleasant Group of Companies, led by its CEO Elder Akparawa Goodnews Archibong, empowered his host community, Esin Ufot Ikang, Bakassi LGA, with a sponsored Super Cup 2024, and an outreach program. The event aimed to drive peace, unity, and development within the community where the company operates.

The program brought together the excitement of an inter-community football tournament with meaningful empowerment initiatives. Essential food items such as garri, beans, and rice were distributed to residents, along with cash donations.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Executive Chairman of Bakassi Local Government Area, Hon. Effiong Okon, his wife Mrs. Agnes Okon, the Executive Vice Chairman, Hon. (Princess) Christiana Eso, and other members of the council. Hon. Effiong Okon lauded Magazine for its impactful contributions, describing the initiative as a significant step toward uplifting the community.

“This is a commendable effort, and I encourage other business stakeholders to emulate Magazine’s commitment to driving growth and development in Bakassi,” Hon. Effiong Okon stated.

The beneficiaries expressed enthusiasm and gratitude for the program, with many noting its positive impact on their lives.

Akparawa Goodnews Archibong, a respected business executive and community advocate, emphasized the importance of empowering the community where he was born, raised, and where his business thrives. He thanked the Hon. Effiong Okon-led administration for maintaining a peaceful and enabling environment in Bakassi, which has allowed businesses like his to grow and contribute meaningfully to society.

“The success of this event is not ours alone but a collective effort supported by the peaceful and collaborative spirit in Ikang and Esin Ufot Ikang,” Archibong remarked.
