The Member representing Bakassi in the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Eyo Bassey (Empowerment Chairman) has appealed to the Youths of Bakassi to maintain peace and order against the rumoured protest in Bakassi LGA.

The Bakassi Leader made this appeal at an interactive session tagged, My Constituents and I, in Bakassi LGA on July 31, 2024.

Hon. Eyo expressed satisfaction in the efforts invested by the Cross River State Government to revamp Bakassi and its local economy.

He categorically stated that the loss of Bakassi infrastructures to the EndSars protest will take years to be brought back.
He frowned at the indiscriminate theft and destruction that took place during the wave of the EndSars protest, stating that the debris of that menace is still lingering in Bakassi.

The Empowerment Chair appealed to the Youths of Bakassi to desist from any form of protest as plans are underway by the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Bassey Otu to make Bakassi a hub for economic activities.

My Constituents and I is a Town Hall interactive session birthed by Hon. Eyo Bassey (Empowerment Chair) to meet and brief the people of Bakassi periodically on his performance noting their challenges and needs.This edition is the 4th in the series.
