The Senator Representing Cross River Southern Senatorial District, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, has announced a series of Town Hall meetings to commemorate the first anniversary of his swearing- in.
The announcement, which was contained in a press statement issued by his constituency office and signed by Mr. Ted Inyang, states that the series of meetings are designed to enable the Distinguished Senator present highlights of his activities in the past year, as well as have direct engagements with his constituents to determine their view of his performance so far, and their expectations for the future.
The series of meetings is scheduled to start at 9am on Saturday, 29th June, 2023, in Biase LGA at the Continuous teachers training college, Akpet, Biase LGA. Immediately after the meeting in Biase, the Senator is expected to meet with the people of Akamkpa 1 state constituency at 12noon in Akamkpa Council Hall, Akamkpa LGA. The series for the day will end in Calabar South LGA at the Calabar Cultural Center, Mary Slessor, where the Senator meets with the people of Calabar South at 3pm.
On Sunday, 30th June, Senator Ekpenyong will continue the meeting with the people of Akamkpa 2 state constituency at 12noon in Civic Centre, Oban, Akamkpa. Thereafter, the Senator connects with the people of Odukpani LGA at 4pm at the Odukpani Council Hall Odukpani where the meeting ends for the day to continue on Monday.
On Monday, 1st July, Senator Ekpenyong will be meeting with the people of Bakassi LGA at 9am in Bakassi Event Centre, followed by another session with the people of Akpabuyo LGA at 12noon in Akpabuyo Council Hall.
The entire series of the town hall meeting the Senator will end in Calabar Municipal LG
Council Hall, where the Senator will be meeting with the people of Calabar Municipal LGA at 2pm.
The Senator expects to have robust discussions with constituents during these engagements across the 7 LGA where his constituency is domiciled.
