The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has terminated the appointment of the Managing Director of Ibom Power Company Limited, Engr. Meyen Etukudoh.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Enobong Uwah, in Uyo, the state capital on Thursday.
Though the governor did not give reasons for relieving the MD of his appointment, he said that the termination was with immediate effect.
While appreciating the Managing Director for the period he served in the state, the governor wished him well in his future endeavors.
He ordered the MD to hand over all property of the government in his position to the Commissioner of Power, pending the appointment of a MD.
“As part of the ongoing restructuring exercise of this Administration, to align with the machinery of Government in the power sector, to the ARISE Agenda, his Excellency, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State Pastor Umo Bassey Eno Ph.D, has relieved the managing director of Ibom Power Company Limited, Engr, Meyen Etukudoh of his appointment with immediate effect.
Engr. Etukudoh is therefore directed to handover to the Hon, Commissioner, Ministry of Power who will oversee the company till further notice.
