Akim Youth Issues Closure Notice for Calabar Businesses

The Council of Akim Qua Youth has issued a formal notice to lock-up stores and shop owners along Akim Market Road and IBB Way, Calabar, informing them that they are not permitted to operate on Saturday, October 18th, 2025. The notice, signed by Nta Daniel Ekong Edim, Youth President, warns that any business found open during the specified hours of 6 am to 6 pm will be permanently closed and face severe punishment.

The reason cited for this closure is the 5th Anniversary Celebration of the Ndidem of Quas and Paramount Ruler of Calabar Municipality. The notice emphasizes the importance of cooperation and understanding from the business owners, thanking them in advance for their compliance.
