Cross River State 10th Assembly Elects Speaker and Deputy Speaker

Members-elect of the 10th Assembly, Cross River State, have elected their Speaker and Deputy Speaker in a contest amongst 25 members-elect held during the inauguration ceremony on June 13, 2023.

After calls for nominations were made, the contest witnessed Hon. Elvert Ekom’s emergence as the Speaker of the 10th Assembly, while Hon. Sylvester Agabi emerged the Deputy Speaker of the 10th Assembly, Cross River State

The newly elected Speaker and his Deputy took oath of office administered by the Clerk of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Mr Adie Akabisong Agweliwhule.
