The Ikembara Autonomous Community in Imo State’s Ikeduru Local Government Area has distanced itself from the alleged election of Francis Chigozie Agim as Eze-elect, labeling it fraudulent and contrary to the community’s constitution.
According to a statement signed by community leaders, including Charles Onukwugha, Chief Clifford Unachukwu, and Prince Leo Olebara, an impostor President-General was responsible for Agim’s emergence. The community revealed that two High Court suits are pending, seeking to restrain the impostor President-General from taking actions, including recognizing Agim as Eze-elect.
Despite the pending suits, the impostor President-General and his cohorts proceeded with the election, defying the rule of law. The community has advised the Imo State Government, Ikeduru Local Government Council, and the public to disregard Agim’s claim. They assured that they would notify the relevant authorities when the community is ready to commence the selection process for a new traditional ruler.
