The Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu, has approved the appointment of 15 new media aides.

According to the government, the  move is aimed at enhancing the communication machinery of the Otu led  administration, People First” agenda and his commitment to strengthening the government’s digital and public engagement strategies.

According to a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary and Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Linus Obogo, the newly appointed aides will take up roles across various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, content development, electronic media, and archival documentation.

Among those appointed are Okokon E. Bassey and Edward Ntebri Egbelo for Facebook Management, Peace Eni for Instagram, Modlin Philomena Odu for TikTok and media research, and Beatrice Akpala as Special Adviser on Content Development and Archival.

Others include Emmanuel Inam, Saviour Etim Asuquo, Ntor Mercy Irom, Bassey Ansa Etim, Abiola Imani, Joseph Okache Advocacy, Awade Friday, Margaret Godwin John, Bassey Ita Etim, and James Eku.

In the same development, five existing aides were also elevated to higher responsibilities. They include Imani Odey, now Special Adviser on Electronic Media; Ekeng Andre Inyang, now Senior Special Assistant on New Media; Nathaniel Otaba, promoted to Senior Special Assistant on Communication; Daniel Williams as Senior Special Assistant on Photography; and Godswill Ekpe, now Special Assistant on Cinematography.

Governor Otu congratulated all the appointees and urged them to bring renewed energy, creativity, and dedication to their roles in service of the state. The appointments, the governor noted, take immediate effect.
