The Leader of the Bakassi Legislative Council, Rt. Hon. Grace Bassey, and the Chairman, Hon. Effiong Okon, have commended the First Lady of Cross River State, Bishop (Dr.) Eyoawan Otu, for organizing a free medical outreach that benefited indigent residents of Bakassi.
The leaders made the commendation during a visit to the General Hospital, where they met with beneficiaries of the outreach. The Chairman expressed gratitude to the First Lady for the initiative, which he said has brought relief and joy to many lives.
“We are grateful to Her Excellency for this compassionate initiative,” Hon. Okon said. “This outreach has addressed the healthcare challenges faced by our people, particularly those in rural communities.”
The Chairman also praised the timely impact of the outreach on the people of Bakassi. As a gesture of support, he extended additional benevolence to the beneficiaries, reinforcing his commitment to improving the well-being of the community.
