The Cross River government says there will be a sanitation exercise across the state on Saturday, June 29th 2024.
The state government said there will be restriction of vehicular and human movement during the exercise.
In a statement on Tuesday, Moses Osogi, commissioner for environment, encouraged residents to participate in the exercise.
Osogi said the exercise would be held between 7 am to 10 am.
The commissioner added that those who disregarded the directives would be prosecuted by the state government.
“The general public is hereby informed that the statewide environmental sanitation exercise for the month of June, 2024 will hold on Saturday, 29th June, 2024.
“Consequently, business owners and residents are urged to partake in the cleaning and evacuation of waste around their surroundings during the Sanitation period.
“Restrictions of human and vehicular movement begin from 7:00am to 10.am except for those on essential duties.
“Note that defaulters would be prosecuted by the Cross River State Government”.
