The Federal Government has denied proposing N105,000 as the new minimum wage.
This is coming after many online medium (NOT STREET NEWS) had reported that the Minister Of Finance Wale Edun had submitted a proposal of N105,000 to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, he described the story as false.
“The Honorable Minister of Finance and coordinating minister of the economy, Wale Edun has not proposed N105,000 minimum wage. The contrary story being disseminated is false”. It reads.
Street News understands that the Nigerian labour Congress had striked over what it had described as a disappointment over the federal government failure to conclude and pass into law the new national minimum wage act, and reverse the vexatious hike in the electricity tariff to N65/kWh.
Despite a series of deadlock meetings, labour was also striking over the inconclusive national minimum wage negotiation and refusal to reverse the hike in electricity tariff.
