As the 2023 Children’s Day is being celebrated nationwide, the Cross River State Governor Senator Prince Bassey Otu, has vowed to continue protecting the rights of children of the state.

The Governor spoke In a statement issued on Monday to mark the 2024 children’s day celebration made available to newsmen by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Nsa Gill.

Governor Otu noted that he is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all to thrive, as well as protecting children’s rights through investment in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

He added that the administration had already taken steps in ensuring that agriculture remains the mainstay of the economy, promising that it will do all it can to ensure children can access the best opportunities and resources.

“My administration’s continuous investment in education, healthcare, and infrastructure is to ensure children can access the best opportunities and resources.

“Our State is richly endowed in agriculture, and this administration has already taken steps to make agriculture the mainstay of our economy.

“Remember that there is no limit to what you can achieve with determination, resilience, and a positive attitude.

“I also want to express my gratitude to all parents, teachers, and caregivers who play crucial roles in shaping the lives of our children. Your dedication and love are instrumental in their growth and success.”

“As we celebrate this year’s Children’s Day, I charge you to remember the less fortunate children in our society and strive to impact their lives positively.”

“Once again, I wish you all a happy Children’s Day. May you continue to be a source of joy and inspiration to us all. Keep shining bright and making us proud”.-He Said.
